I wonder what happened to the 1911A1s that Patrick Sherrill used in Edmond?

I know they were property of the US Government at the time they were used in a crime. But I wonder when they were returned, if the Air National Guard decided to have them destroyed.

It's highly probable that the Air Guard didn't ask for them to be returned. And highly likely that they were subsequently destroyed by the OSBI.

My wife gets upset every time she hears his name. She was going home the night before he did the shooting and his cat ran into the street in front of her and she ran over it.

A horrible day for sure. One never knows what you’d do in that situation but the name that seldom gets mentioned is Bill Nemo. He rushed the shooter and probably saved some lives. He was shot but survived. A true hero. I saw the reports later and many employees had no where to go. The break room and corners of the box section were killing zones. One girl locked herself in the safe. All post offices have more employee exits now because of this tragedy. You never know when 1 low life loser chooses to harm defenseless people.

Everyone in my unit was interviewed by OSI and Postal inspectors. I had to give three depositions because of conversations I had overheard with his supervisor while standing in the hallways. I was never told why I had to give the depositions, but I suspect they were the result of civil suits of the survivors and families.
