Okay, I'm down to just one or two items to finish putting together a couple of AR builds.

I want a two point sling but I've never used a sling before so I need suggestions on what you guys like.

I don't know if I need one of the quick adjustment versions or just a simple set up.

I want a sling that will allow me to carry my rifle in back or in front but I doubt that I will being using it for any tacticool operator stuff.

Also, I am a big guy with a barrel chest and I probably need a longer sling.

I have the quick connect type 1.5" sling loops and want to know if you all prefer a sling with clips or do you just thread it through the loops.

Thanks!

My suggestion is to go on Blue Force gear and get a PADDED Vickers tactical two point sling. Your shoulder/s will thank you for it. As to QDs that is a personal option.

The best ^^ magpul 2nd and the quick adjust is most definitely nice, at least for this skinny fellow..

Fat guys like quick sling adjustment too. I'm not a fan of padded slings...the width of a Magpul sling does me just fine and is comfortable to carry a heavy rifle with so I'd think it would be even more comfortable with an AR.

Hey guys...remember I'm cheap!

I found this review from one of our own while looking at the Condor Speedy 2 point sling on Amazon. [emoji5]

Great quality sling, very nice price.

Great sling. Strong, high quality nylon. The sling's sliders seem pretty thin, but then again, I'm going to be hanging this gun from me, not the other way around. Honestly, that's the only minor complaint I can think of, and it's a small one. Overall, for ~$20 I think it is a phenomenal sling. It is long, too. I was concerned, because when hung from the buttstock and forearm sling swivel on my AR rifles, looping it around my offhand I couldn't pull it tight enough to stabilize, but I just looped my strong arm first, then the offhand and it took up the slack fine. It's long enough for Lurch to get his big ol' arms into it.

I have 2 of these now, and two of their single-point bungee slings, and I'm pretty happy with Condor. Looked at some more expensive stuff, but man, when you're trying to outfit a bunch of rifles (I've got bad, bad BRD) it gets awful expensive awful quick.

Good stuff.

<edit> Going to add a little here after a weekend at the range. I mentioned this sling is looooooong.... and it is. Perhaps TOO long. It's a great 2-point for tactical-type training, etc., but it may be too long to shorten up enough depending on how you need to use it, i.e., like a hasty-sling for an Appleseed Program course or something like that. Not taking anything off on it, though. Still a great product, super-great price.

I like the regular version but I 100% agree. Blue Force is as good as it gets. I have seen them locally for less. Only including the link so you see what I mean.

The Magpul one looks cool but I have tortured the heck out of the Vickers one and it has held up way better than I ever expected.

I'm seriously needing to go on a diet and it works perfect for me so that answers the size issue too...

I own three and would buy another if I needed a sling.
