That District 88 has a lot of Democrats. I’ve seen signs in yards and Bernie supporters on the corners when passing through that area.

I said to Dunnington;
Though I'm not in your district, I'm writing to let you know I take your effort to restrict the second amendment rights of Oklahomans very seriously.
Restricting magazine size will do nothing to make anyone any safer, as I'm guessing you know.

I'm registered Independent, and I will be contributing to your opponent's campaign in the next election.

Respectfully,

He replied;
Thank you for your email sharing your perspective. However, I encourage you to contact your elected officials and let them know where you stand on this issue. I answer to the people of OK House District 88, and they have made it clear to me that they support this common sense legislation. Your elected officials answer to you, and they want to hear from you. If you need assistance looking up who your elected officials are, please feel free to call my office and my legislative assistant will be happy to look them up for you.

Thank you again for reaching out.

My rep, Denise Crosswhite-Hader, replied:
You can count on me to opposed this bill and do all I can do to protect our 2nd amendment rights. In fact, I am not sure that the bill will be heard. If it is, I do not think it will get the support to move forward.
Thanks for contacting me.

I wrote to my rep, Jacob Rosecrants last week about this issue. Here was his reply to my email on February 1st.

“This legislature passed constitutional carry last session. The chances this or any other bill doing anything but expanding gun rights even making it out of committee, much less garnering a floor vote, are very close to zero. And actually passing into law with a signature of this governor?? It won’t happen. That’s the political reality. Y’all are gettin riled up for something that won’t happen.”

We have to keep our eyes on these guys. If Dems think that we have gone to sleep, they’ll try to sneak this stuff through. We have to defeat every one of them and keep them from ever gaining power again. The Dem Party is an a existential threat to the Republic. Until they are defeated, we have to keep the pressure on them.

To do that, we need to put them on the defensive. We need to expand gun rights to the maximum so they can’t gain any concessions. They’ll be too busy trying to block our initiatives.

A population that seems to grow in Democrat-dominated districts, it seems.

That is what is happening in many areas of the country. The urban centers of the country become unlivable and folks move out. Liberals take over and they encourage illegal immigrants to settle there. Then they end up with more representatives that outvote the more rural areas of the state. I have seen this happen in Utah and Virginia.

Just last week I had to write the Norman city council because there was a committee advocating to make it a sanctuary city for illegal immigrants. Fortunately a lot of people wrote them to protest it and they tabled the initiative for now.

Can someone show an example of a so-called "restricted bullet" this bill makes reference to?
"Oklahoma bans the possession, carrying, use, attempted use, manufacture, importation, advertising for sale or sale of any “restricted bullet.”

A “restricted bullet” is a round or elongated missile with a core of less than 60% lead and that has a fluorocarbon coating, designed to travel at high velocity and capable of penetrating body armor.

Oklahoma also prohibits carrying a concealed handgun loaded with ammunition larger than .45 caliber."
