Please post how this turns out. According to their website, once they receive and approve your warranty request they will simply send you a new scope off the shelf. The warranty can't be better, assuming they stand behind it, so you'll be the first I've heard of to see how their customer service is. I'll also be curious if they send you the same model, or since those on Woot were discontinued, if they replace it with the current model.

Let us know please!
Yes. I have wondered about that too. I don't know how they can replace these older scopes with the newer versions without going broke.

Maybe they have stockpiled a bunch of the older scopes for warranty replacement.???

That's the one I wound up getting, it was one I was looking at all day. I really wanted a QD also, but didn't find any in the price point I was looking for with enough good reviews. It's going on an fde rifle so I almost got this one.

But in the end decided to go with utg instead. I have had good luck with their risers I the past.

I haven't taken this scope to the range yet but just looking through it around the house, at 1x it works like a prism scope for close range and now I will have up to 4x to help my old eyes for longer distances.

For those that haven't noticed, this is a second focal plane (SFP) scope which means that the BDC reticle is accurate at full power(4x).

That is of no concern to me because anything past about 50 yards I will be using 4x and you don't really use the BDC until around 100-200 yards.

Well, I decided that I should jump on the Woot train and I'm going to put a serious test on the 1-4x24 when I mount it on my .458 Socom. :-) Now I just need to find a mount on it that won't fail on the first shot. I might go ahead and get the Burris PEPR since I've heard pretty good things about them.

I haven't even sighted mine in yet but if I had a little more fun money I would buy a second one.

They seem heavy but compared to the same Vortex scope there is only about 1.5 ounces difference.

I went by bear beam firearms (around the corner from my work) and picked up a stripped Anderson lower today just to have on hand and saw P.A. has essentially the same optic. I believe the price was 129.99. It's got a different reticle but is sfp also. Makes me wonder if this really was the super deal it was made out to be.

I bought one probably 6-8 months ago, and compared to what the same models were selling for at that time, these were really good deals. Riton has come out with new models since (where they were mod 1, mod 3, mod 5 and mod 7 now they are X1, X3, X5 and X7) and apparently woot is closing out the old models. They may be selling at clearance prices in some stores now too.

For example, the 4x that was on woot for $49 was a few dollars over $100 when I bought the first Riton. The mod 5 3x9 that was on woot for $90, best I remember was a few dollars over $200.
