Just passed my one year anniversary! I've got a pretty neat little project up my sleeve that I was inspired to do just after getting my Technician, and with any luck I can share it with the crowd at Winter Field Day at the QTH of WX5WDG this weekend. If testing is available, I may even take a stab at General.

Hi ALL,
Well I took the general and tech class tests, and got this in my email this am. Call sign KI5IHU. Now I just got to get some stuff taken care of and hopefully I can take the Extra test at Green Country HAMfest.

If it works for your schedule, I recommend doing the Friday night test session. Not as crowded.

For anyone planning on attending the 2020 Green Country Hamfest April 10th and 11th, the Mayes County Amateur Radio Club is raffling off a Henry Golden Boy lever action .22. This is a fundraiser to help keep our Club's 147.06, 444.675, and 442.075 repeaters covering a large part of NE Oklahoma up and running for anyone in the ham radio community to use.

Tickets will be on sale at our MCARC Club Tables Friday afternoon and up to the 1 PM drawing Saturday April 11th. One for $5, 3 for $10. Hey, how about 6 for $20. Ha.

I have been told normal transfer paperwork can be done on site as soon as the winning ticket is drawn if the winner is present. Arrangements will be made for another time and location if they are not.

Come by and visit us even just to say hello. Ken, the guy usually chewing on a cigar.

OK - just a suggestion - good luck on the Extra & congratulations on getting licensed. The best study help I got for the Extra was Ham Test Online. Stop by the Tulsa Amateur Radio Club table as you enter the Expo Hall - I’ll be there selling our raffle tickets.
