I don't agree with the new forms.

And still can't figure out how the "Hispanic/not Hispanic" question got past the PC police, but that is another story.

Dave

"Hispanic/non-Hispanic" has long been an "identifying" feature in reporting. When I worked at the OSBI, we dealt with the crime reports submitted to the OSBI for the "Crime in Oklahoma" documents. "Hispanic/non-Hispanic" is not a race question. People of just about any race could be considered as Hispanic.

Those same reports for "Crime in Oklahoma" were then (and probably still are) sent on to the FBI for their crime reporting.

The big issue is this is petitioning an agency - a non-law-making agency, an agency run by unelected, unbeholden to the people pricks, to ask them to not infringe on our Constitutional rights. How in the hell have we allowed them to have the authority? Who gave them this authority?

It might make us feel better to vent our spleen to them, but they don't really care. They'll do what they damned well please.

Actually, Congress in bypassing their own responsibilities have passed laws in which the legislation states that the agency will "operate" per the "Secretary/agency head."

I wouldn't call it fear mongering, possibly an over reaction.
But digitizing through cloud based software does sound a little scary, even without my tin hat on.
ATF already doing something they shouldn't be doing, and now want to make it easier for them to do it. And then supposed 2A supporters say they're not worried about it. Its a wonder we still have any rights at all.

While this change does present a potential problem, it comes across the way Glenn Beck warns of a stock market crash so we need to buy gold (from his advertiser)

Thinking of the number of firearms each store sells in a year, the number of stores and non-store dealers, the number of available agents to take these photos, I'm having trouble believing that this is the ATF plan to build a registry.

This is like the 3rd or 4th revision in the last 6 years or so I think.

They need to focus on making the data sharing more efficient and leave the form alone IMO.

This.
Y'all that trust the gubment are just stupid. Look at what the FBI was doing to Trump with their insurance policy and their FISA affadavits. This country needs a good scrubbin from the top down.
