Watching the news this morning about closures.

State Capitol closed to the public. No admittance unless you work there or media.
Regal Theatres
All Okc Schools
Senior activity centers
Some but not all Casinos. YET.

Norman
All bars for 15 days
Restaurants without delivery or drive through service
Remaining restaurants must close by 9 PM
Theatres, gyms and reactional facilities.

I expect air travel will be shutting down soon.
The national news said that there were multiple TSA inspectors across the country that tested positive and were quarantined.

A new Scam was mentioned. “If someone comes to your door saying they are doing testing for the virus, it’s a scam, and call the police immediately”.

Maybe I should be more cautious and I’m self quarantined mostly anyway since my knee replacement on 3-10 but I think it is a huge over reaction. I ask people this question. Do you have it? Do you know anyone who does? Do you know anyone who knows anyone that does? Do you know the name of anyone anywhere who does? Now ask that same question about the common flu and tell me we are taking the right actions. The poor waiter or bartender with no money coming in is the person will be hurt most.

One problem, we’ll maybe a few, with that. Many can be asymptomatic but still have it. So asking doesn’t really mean they don’t.

and we don’t have testing in place for the majority of people, so how would you know for sure?

and again, this isn’t ‘the common flu’. There are differences in ease of transmission, incubation periods, differences in natural immunity from years of exposure, vaccinations, etc that make this a different thing. Not to mention the differences in lethality.

but the real threat currently isn’t just what the virus does but what the number of severely sick at the same time could do to our health system.

and yes, students in MS returning from spring break are starting to report exposure and positive tests. So we do ‘know anyone who knows anyone’.

For me you are correct. In the US no under 18 has died from it, the youngest person in the US who has died was in his 40s with underlying health conditions, and the median age of people who have died from it I believe I heard was 69. I do unfortunately believe that the MSM is blowing this out of proportion to intentionally cause damage to our economy so that they have a new angle to attack our POTUS on in a few months. I'm not normally a tin hat wearer, but these past 3 years have made me extreamly wary of anything the media says. For myself and my family we will be at the parks playing, we will be at the lake fishing, we will be in church on Sunday.

So even though overall fuel consumption has plummeted and the Saudis are increasing production that makes sense? Does anyone else feel like we're being played with or manipulating here?

in terms of oil, we are. But it's a dance between the saudis and the russians, with repercussions world wide.

I'll drop my drawers, bend over and tell them to swab away!!! Actually we don't open the door for anyone. We never have friends drop by unexpectedly.
