HAHAHA!!! CTD is screwed!! When the nation went on a National Emergency, the price gouging laws went into effect. Those bastids can't raise prices more than 10% or they will be fined heavily.
Those sorry Pieces OS can't gouge the public like they have done in the past with no regrets.
Only protects certain things. Gun stuff won’t make the list

It's open to definition. Since they trade on the internet it could be by state law per state, or since it's a national emergency, they could be screwed and I hope they are.

Texas
  • After a declared emergency, "selling or leasing fuel, food, medicine, or another necessity at an exorbitant or excessive price."
  • Subject to civil penalty of up to $20,000 per violation (up to $250,000 if the victim was over 65 yrs. old) and injunctive relief.
What is a "necessity". For gun owners its ammo. The courts will have to decide.

I was just over at Ammo.com. I think I'm reading this right, I've never been to the site before this.

The only .223 ammo they show is 1k round boxes (they have 14 in stock) of Tulammo steel case stuff. Nothing else.

They have no 5.56x45 Nato in stock at all.

SGAmmo doesn't even know what they have. They do know they are so far behind they won't take any orders for at least another week. Then they'll straighten out the inventory count.

Freaking crazy.

CTD isn't the only one raising prices. Was on ammoland and they had a link for Federal XM193 from Brownells that was on sale, normally 312 but right not 249 for 1k box. Went to the link, that same ammo is now 329.99. Granted, not a HUGE jump, but a jump none the less.

btw, for those close to Tulsa/BA, the AtWoods on 193rd and e 71st st in BA still has some ammo left. 9mm is Blazer (both 115 and 124 gr) FMJ 50 rd boxes @12.99 and some other brand I'm not familiar with in both FMJ and JHP plus some Hornady. They have some .223 but only a few boxes of Hornady black 5.56 @ $19 per box of 20. But they do have 300 BO, .40, .45 38 spl, and some other rounds. Better hurry though, they are gonna go quick. While I was in the checkout line the cashier had 3 calls come in for the gun counter.

What is the penalty for price gouging?
Civil penalty of up $10,000 per violation, plus legal costs; criminal penalties ranging from a misdemeanor (up to $1,000 and 6 months in jail) to a felony (1 to 5 yrs. in prison and/or fine of up to $5,000).
Are they selling water or other necessities? Not that I'm aware of
