I was sent home Tuesday evening. I had mild allergies and coughed some and kept blowing my nose and someone said something I guess. The boss told me to head home on sick leave and watch for a fever. I argued that I was spring time allergies but she insisted and even took it a level higher. I'm on sick leave - which I only had accrued 42 hours of since my illness and surgery, follow up Dr visits etc. So I'm not too happy. They are working to get legal things in order to allow me to telework from home and hopefully that happens today so I can stop exhausting my leave. Leave that may need to be used for a real reason in the coming year.
We started working remotely today. I have 5 direct reports. We are web meeting twice a day and numerous phone calls in between. We are a technology sales team so we are focusing on helping our clients with deploying secure effective remote worker setups. It should keep us busy for a while.
I'm working from home. I feel like Desmond in Lost because I have to monitor the timer on my laptop during breaks and lunches, lol. I only have a 4 digit code to punch in though, lol!
I started working from home yesterday myself. It has been hectic but awesome at the same time.
I could definitely get used to this myself.
