I'll keep my eyes peeled.

NICS is taking stupid long times. I'm getting everything back as "Delayed".

Other problem is that as a dentist, they basically have me shut down.
I'll be in and out of the office but we are only seeing emergency patients.
All routine dental work is cancelled "until further notice"
Had to lay off entire staff to get them on unemployment.
They told us initially two weeks and then jumped it to three.
In at least two States, the State Health Departments have shut dental offices "until further notice"

This all sucks "bigly"

Dave
Damn that sucks for your staff

We saw a lot of delays this week. The system is so overwhelmed that, when you time out because of the volume, it defaults to delay. Be patient. And don't call your dealer every five minutes. Trust me, they will call you when you are a proceed. We still have a few guns. A few. Like I said in another post, there is no blammo to buy on the wholesale side.

Just have your patients take a bleach shower as they come in. A quick shot of Tequila for mouthwash and you should be good to go.

Yesterday, we got a few responses (and I'm paraphrasing) that went like this: "We're busy. Thank you. Goodbye." We'd try again later and get thru. When the system gets too overloaded, they just stop taking calls. Its frustrating, but the panic buying continues.

Isn't this really what we want? Maybe not all at once, but we may well be getting some new folks into the world of firearms, and increased numbers is a good thing in this case.

Just make sure they wash their hands after completing their 4473.
I don't think panic buying of any product is what you want ever. I talked to a few different gun stores last year that all said the were in a down turn. So short term this is good for them. Still they gotta be able to restock. I imagine if Gov checks actually hit there will be another run on stuff next month. I have a hard time believing we will be back in the same mess like the last shortage long term. Either way the whole firearms industry needed a shot in the arm.

You also have to wonder what types of guns are being sold? Are people buying everything? Some guy that was unprepared decided he needs a CZ Orange to protect his family cause everything else is gone? Or are all the folks just buying up Taurus's and other cheap guns. My guess very few real enthusiasts, hobbyist or educated gun owners will come out of these types of buying events.

Just ordered a Walther PPQ M2. Hope @ratski doesnt have a problem with this when he gets it

($410 with LE discount)

Jealous. I have a PPS M2; and with the exception of its capacity, it’s a superb carry gun IMO. I have been able to shoot the PPQ before, but I don’t believe they were the M2. I was surprised how good the trigger was and look forward to hearing how you like yours, if @ratski is able to get in to get it for you that’s is.

I had two PPQs (sold one) both were classic with the Paddle mag release. Love them and prefer the paddle release to the button. However for the sake of training continuity, decided to order the M2

So is NICS down now, or no? I know a guy in Wichita Falls Texas who is trying to buy a shotgun, and they're telling him it will not be back up for two weeks, and they won't do the "proceed" after three days thing.
