I'm not an aficionado, but I do like my coffee. Before the social distancing mandate my wife bought me some coffee at a craft show sold by a veteran.

Appears to be legit and is an Oklahoma company run by and for veterans. (If not legit, please inform)

The Downrange brew I sampled this morning is pretty good. I like it better than the Black Rifle brand but is just as pricey.

Many here may be doing more shopping online and thought I'd share.

Also, I made the coffee with a small Italian style coffee maker (espresso maybe) that I bought cheap at a closeout store. What's the best non kcup type coffee maker?

Stay safe and enjoy the cup of Joe of your choice .

For making a single cup of coffee with freshly ground beans it’s hard to beat an Aeropress. I get my beans at Hoboken Coffee in Guthrie which is a great shop if you haven’t been there. For 2 people when I get lucky or just want a 2nd cup I like my Espropress.

I get Nordaggio beans (they have 2 large bag blends they sell at Sams, the CEO Mom), and I make them in my cheap automatic drip because I'm a monster. But mostly because I drink like 3-4 mugs, or around 7-10 "cups" in first 3 hours of my day.

I really prefer some Topeca's Ayutepeque made in my French Press (34 oz, cause I drink some java), but the price and time spend cleaning it out make it only a rare treat for me.

I'll have to give a French press a try. Mostly I use the Keurig. It's convenient, easy to have a variety of choices, and my wife doesn't drink coffe, but does like hot chocolate or an occasional tea. But my preference is my old cuisinart grind and brew. Drop whole beans in the top and go. Fresh ground seems to add to the quality of the drink.

Learned not to be picky but still appreciate a cup of coffee many years ago.......you'd be surprised, in some situations a little packet of instant coffee from a box of c-rations dissolved in a empty beanie weenie can of warmish questionable water can taste mighty damn good.

I continued to drink instant coffee for 20+ years after getting out of the Army but for the last 30 years or so my caffeine source of choice in the morning has been plain ol' Folgers Classic brewed pretty stout in a $20.00 Mr. Coffee.

I buy my beans green from Sweet Maria’s and Coffee Bean Direct. I roast them in a Behmor Coffee Roaster to my preferred roast level (City Roast). I’ve got about 15 pounds of beans. They store for a year or more. Favorites are the African and Indonesia beans. I use a French Press to make my coffee. I used to be a Folgers fan until I discovered how great fresh roasted, single source coffee can be.

A friend of mine roasts her own beans. I think she uses a popcorn popper. Sounds like something I should try. What beans produce a nutty flavor?
