I love coffee. Started drinking it as a young teenager when me dad and I would go out to our boat dock early in the mornings. We had an old silver colored percolator pot and didn’t want to bother with cream, sugar, etc. just black, and that has continued to today.

Back in the 70’s and early 80’s, I worked for Griffin Foods in Muskogee. For over 15 years, my office was on the first floor, while the coffee roasting operation was directly above on the 2nd floor. That just solidified my love of coffee.

Being retired, there isn’t much better than sitting on the patio in the morning, watching all the critters that come through the yard.

One daughter is totally into the grinding, French press, etc., but that’s a bit too much work for me, so my trusty Mr. Coffee drip machine gets it done.

And it is not uncommon for me to stop by a convenient 7-11 for another cup.

I love coffee!

Speaking of Folgers...I like their dark roast Black Silk coffee but around here I have to go to Wal-Mart to get it. It's just not worth it.

I used to make our coffee with a Vaculator. I still have it around here somewhere. It made an awesome cup of coffee. Our son bought us a Keurig and spoiled us. Now I drink either Braums regular or sometimes Folgers Hazelnut Cream.

I'm not at all against nuking yesterday's left over coffee. I personally don't care what brand it is, as long as it's plain, strong coffee and not flavored. I just want it to be strong, hot, black coffee, not hazelnuts or vanilla roast bean flavor or whatever. Hazelnut...Yuck.

Truly, a brother from another mother.

I'm not an aficionado, but I do like my coffee. Before the social distancing mandate my wife bought me some coffee at a craft show sold by a veteran.

Appears to be legit and is an Oklahoma company run by and for veterans. (If not legit, please inform)

The Downrange brew I sampled this morning is pretty good. I like it better than the Black Rifle brand but is just as pricey.

Many here may be doing more shopping online and thought I'd share.

Also, I made the coffee with a small Italian style coffee maker (espresso maybe) that I bought cheap at a closeout store. What's the best non kcup type coffee maker?

Stay safe and enjoy the cup of Joe of your choice .

We got tired of replacing our coffee maker twice a year (on average!) and bought a used commercial pour-over coffee maker. We still have it 15 years later. We bought a new one just because and the old one is now stowed away just in case. We've saved considerable money with the commercial units.

We put it on a timer so it doesn't stay on all the time. It comes on before breakfast for 3 hours, then again in the afternoon before dinner time for three hours. We shut it off at the timer after breakfast and after dinner so it never stays on for the full six hours.

To me, coffee is mostly part of a meal, breakfast mostly.
Biscuits and gravy with coffee, or bacon and eggs with coffee.
Either way, coffee enhances the taste of the meal and vice versa.

Admittedly you can have bacon and eggs with a a slice of toast and a glass of orange juice but biscuits n' gravy demands some strong coffee.
Same for hashbrowns!
