My brother was having really bad headaches earlier this week (he has underlying medical issues), so my mom called the doctor (whose office is in Purcell). They told her if it really got bad to take him to the emergency room, but their clinic was currently closed. Mom said their voicemail tree message basically said if you think you have something, don't come in, and if you don't think you have something, don't come in, either...
They’ve been saying that if you suspect you are infected, call an ambulance so they can call ahead and let the hospital know so they can be prepared. Hope alls well, keep us informed.

The entire (supposed) reason for shutting us down (dentists, and I'm assuming some MDs) was to prevent an overload on the ER system!! They are pretty specific about us (dentists) staying open to see patients that have true emergencies so that they DON'T wind up at the ER!!

Oh, he's back to normal now (or at least normal for him); the headaches were early in the week. Thanks for the concern, though!

Yeah, that seemed kind of weird. FWIW, the headaches aren't abnormal for his condition, these were just abnormally bad, so they wanted to consult with his normal doctor.

Saw this list, thought it was interesting. In the case of an OK shutdown, are you considered an essential worker?

I'm a Fed . . . and I also have to be ready to respond to health emergencies exactly like COVID-19. So while I'm currently working from home I would need to report to work if something happened that required my attention.

Half of the folks I supervise are teleworking and the rest are still going in . . . our building is closed to the public starting today.

I'm essential but working from home as much as possible, effective tomorrow. My government vehicle is at the office so I would have to travel there first to retrieve it if I have to do any hands on work, the same as Bobbyv mentioned above.

Our objective is to minimize the presence at air traffic facilities to reduce the chance of them getting shut down due to illness. We've already had three or four closed down temporarily nationwide.

My bride is a nurse, so she's obviously working. They are talking about locking them down in the hospital for 14 day shifts, then home for 14 days of self quarantine and repeat....but that will only happen if things get really bad. Right now she is decon-ing in the garage and hitting the shower as soon as she gets home...for whatever that's worth.

Well we officially got the email that our entire facility was deemed essential by the DOD and we dont have the work from home option so business as usual for us.

They did split up lunch into two shifts and have spread out manufacturing but Engineering cant really be moved so that's probably the biggest risk for me at the moment.

As a designated Federal Emergency Response Official, I'm on. Have my staff on partial telework and I'm covering on-site response. Trying to get them on full telework and I'm handling pretty much everything over the phone and email.

TBH I don't feel very essential, but I do have people asking me questions and I'm trying to ease their burdens as much as practicable.

They divided up the Engineering department at work. Instead of the normal schedule of 9 hour days and every other Friday off...we all work 8 hour days and no off Fridays...then they split us up to work two shifts. I got 5:30AM-2:30PM shift instead of the 3:00-Midnight shift (both 1hr lunch). (Normal shift is 7:30-5:15 w/ 45 min lunch).
All in an effort to support "social distancing" in the Engineering room.
Manufacturing and all "support" departnements (purchasing, planning, etc) are still on regular schedule.

My wife seems to think I am an essential worker. She keeps coming up with jobs for me to do while yelling at me not to bend, don't lift any weight, your going to hurt yourself and be back in the hospital, yada, yada, yada.
