Whatever you do, don't use Brasso on them. It will weaken the brass, and your gun will come to life and shoot you in the middle of the night. (Because the brass is too weak to resist the temptation.)

I can think of lots of different ways to creat a spreadsheet kind of thing; that would be a good way to spend some time if you by chance get bored.

I don’t have time for that OCD nonsense myself. I’m too busy trying to organize my ammo by not just caliber and grain but bullet type and in some sort of lot number order too. I might hand polish each individual round tomorrow or the for the next few months though. It’s really got me concerned...

See, I heard that real operators always polish their ammo so it will feed reliably. But being a new operator in this theater, I probably ought to check with you other black ops guys to see what polishing media you all use. I wonder if it should be the same for brass and nickel cased, or is it different?

Getcha' one a them jewelry polishing cloths, and you oughta' be good to go! My wife's got a couple. Maybe I could 'borry' one of 'em to try it out!

I'll tell ya, fellas --- you're not really OCD until you say it as CDO. It's gotta be alphabetical!!

.

Well wouldn’t you agree that a person with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) has a specific type of CDO (Compulsive DIs-Order)? I mean it could possibly, maybe even probably, be obsessive, sure. I for one wouldn’t argue that. But it doesn’t necessarily have to be obsessive, does it? Hmmm? Hmmm? Couldn’t the whole thing be in your mind? What if it just wasn’t that compulsive? I know I can stop doing something anytime I want.

Haven’t thought about that now, have you?
Well, you just ponder that now, because I have got to get back to counting, sorting and polishing my ammunition. After I get that done, I’m going to work developing some analytics for specific ammo/scenarios in case this really is TEOTWAWKI. I just have to know that if in a given situation, I use a 124 gr +P BJHP, I’ll get better results as compared to a standard pressure 147 gr projectile or not. And don’t even get me started on that shot placement is king stuff!
