Maybe he's taking his cues from Stephen Dorff. I mean they look alike.

More than alike...the resemblance is uncanny in that photo.

After hours of pushback from residents, gun stores, Second Amendment organizations, and even the county attorney, Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva reversed course early Wednesday morning and now says his office is suspending attempts to force firearm retailers to lock their doors.

Villaneuva announced the move on social media, saying it will be up to Gov. Gavin Newsom to determine what is, and isn’t, an essential business.

Yeah, cause that fruitcake is the sole arbiter of what Constitutional Rights are valid for kommiefornians. And, which aren't. /sarc

Stop monkeying around with the Constitution! What is it about "Shall not be infringed..." those dweebs can't grasp?

The article I read this morning (LA Times I think), said he reversed his decision after the County Attorney said his reasons were a stretch at best, and they would lose a fortune in lawsuits as he was overstepping his bounds. PA Governor reversed his decision after the State Supreme Court recommended he do so before a lawsuit reached them.

ETA, the Sheriff said it was over concerns of first time buyers who didn't know safety and CA's complicated laws.

LA County Sheriff’s Effort to Close Gun Stores Gets Shut Down
AWR HAWKINS 25 Mar 2020

The sheriff attempted to justify the store closures by intimating that all the first-time gun buyers emerging amid the coronavirus crisis create a perilous situation: “I’m a supporter of the 2nd amendment, I’m a gun owner myself, but now you have the mixture of people that are not formerly gun owners and you have a lot more people at home and anytime you introduce a firearm in a home, from what I understand from CDC studies, it increases fourfold the chance that someone is gonna get shot.” :finger:
