Working got me to where I am today. It was essential to my well-being, sanity, and security. If your work isn't essential to anyone but yourself, welcome to one of the caveats that would put you at the bottom of the slave pool in a socialist society - - yes, one of the first to to be selected by the death panel at the local People's Hospital for your organs to be harvested. :saywhat:

My bride is a nurse, so she's obviously working. They are talking about locking them down in the hospital for 14 day shifts, then home for 14 days of self quarantine and repeat....but that will only happen if things get really bad. Right now she is decon-ing in the garage and hitting the shower as soon as she gets home...for whatever that's worth.

My better half is a nurse in the ICU, she does the same thing. Lysols all her shoes, leaves them in the garage, clothes straight in the wash and she goes straight the shower. Haven't heard anything about the 14 day shift thing yet.

They won't take my organs. I can't even donate blood.

Only thing I'm good for is the dogfood factory.

Guess my office is taking it seriously as of today. My high risk category guy is on 2 weeks straight telework as of now. Me and my other guy in the office are splitting up on-site coverage between us and the rest is telework.

Last night I helped the wife work up and submit a package for her boss to consider. She got 100% of her hours cut last week and between Sen Langford's website, the Small Business Association website and a summary by Sec. Treasury Mnuchin on the CARES Act, we're trying to get her back to full pay status and telework for the duration. She'll still have to go to the office for some tasks, but with only 3 people in the office they should be able to avoid each other and wipe things down after use. All three of them are pretty much germaphobes, so they'll probably be fine doing that.
