I'm a Ruger fan boy. Own more of those than anything else. The Ruger American pistol had problems out of the gate. Rare for Ruger. My guess is they were trying to get to market offering a quality polymer pistol at a Taurus price point. Early reports were they fired off when dropped. Glad it's just a parts swap for your friend.
