I haven’t yet. I ended up with some good pieces for knife scales.
I made a sacrificial front sight for a Sig 556R out of aluminum. It was shooting way low at 50 yards with the rear all the way up. I'll get at back on the range and try again. Now I can file this sight down if needed and then know what to order in an oem sight blade.
Got the planer finished up. Well except for the new elevation handle that's broke. Still gotta get that but it's finished otherwise.
Made myself a sharpening jig for the blades out of some scrap maple. The angle is 40 degrees off of 90 and my saw only tilts to 45. With all the change in the world today I found that trigonometry hasn't! I nailed the angle with the help of my Incra positioner and also nailed the blade slots for width.

I've always fancied myself as a woodworker. OK not really, but I was tired of not having a holder for my 6.5 dies. I use the Hornady Lock & Load Die conversion kit so I can easily swap the dies on my single stage Rock Chucker press without having to set up the die each time. I made this little holder from 3 cents worth of crap in my garage. I did not have a hole saw bit large enough for the conversion bushing size, so I just drilled 7/8" holes and hang the dies upside down. Seems to do the trick.
And yes, I ran out of black spray paint (it's actually the rubber coating in a spray can) at the very end and I have an unpainted area on the right side. It's starting to bug me looking at it. I'll probably take a black sharpie to it!

I was really surprised at how well it worked. I hit them with a Norton Crystolon medium/fine combo bench stone and followed that with an uber hard Arkansas bench stone that my dad bought in the '70s to sharpen fillet knives. That thing is the hardest and finest stone I've ever seen. It's gotta be a translucent stone. I have no clue what the grit would be but it basically equates to a leather strop as far as I can tell. I could shave with those blades now...
So I was out in the shop this morning, just puttering and saw a stick sitting over the corner. The stick is a piece of hickory that I picked up from my son's farm in Maryland some years ago. I though it had character and might work into a walking stick, when I got a round tuit.
Well still looking for the "round tuit" but did see a more urgent use for the stick.
Round off the big end on the disc sander.
Used a mill bastard file to smooth lose bark and rough fiber on the scar.
Then round of the square edges of the tip.
Voila! A social distancing stick. Extended straight out in front of me, the tip is 6' 6" from my face.
Later, I can us it as a walking stick.
