I was told by a friend to try breading morels in crushed Ritz crackers. I will have to get more morels.
I'll have to try that. Some of the morels I found today went on a baking dish of elk stuffed manicotti covered in marinara and cheese as a garnish.
A friend uses crushed ritz crackers mixed with crushed pretzels as a coating for his fish before hitting the deep fryer. Really good!
Payne county has been producing a ton this year it seems like.

Found another batch of morels. We will have a few good meals from the morels and the fish. My last sack of morels, I gave away.
I see that an increasing number of people are looking for mushrooms on WMAs apparently. Lexington has posted a sign to remind folks it's illegal to harvest mushrooms on WMAs. I didn't even think about the legality of it when looking for them while turkey hunting.
I finally made it up to hunt for sheds and morels, and it was pretty productive. I ended the day with 18 sheds and 123 morels. Tomorrow I’m switching out a feeder after coons (I assume) almost destroyed the motor and am planting a summer food plot.

Quite the harvest of antler sheds! I've found two so far, both probably from last year.
