Let’s face it, Dennis, the liar with the loudest voice, was the president of the United States.
Your 100% wrong. The President was putting in travel restrictions on January 31 while your folks were screaming impeachment and doing nothing else in the congress. Your boy biden was screaming that Trump was a Xenophobic and a racist for doing so, while now the bumbling idiot agrees with Trump.

Trump was advised by the experts he relies on to give him facts. Unfortunately he wasn't given the facts by his advisors.

Chief among the experts now crafting national policy is a 79-year-old physician from Brooklyn called Anthony Fauci. Fauci certainly has the credentials for the job. He graduated first in his class from Cornell medical school. He’s spent more than half a century practicing medicine. He’s has been the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984. Those of us who are 50, were freshman in high school when he started there.
On the question of this pandemic, he has been repeatedly. On January 21, Fauci appeared on television to reassure the public that the Wuhan coronavirus was not worth worrying about.

Two days later, Chinese security forces quarantined an entire city of 11 million people. In some cases, they locked residents in their apartments from the outside. Chinese authorities were clearly panicked. But Anthony Fauci wasn’t. He assured Americans that, while they might want to reconsider immediate travel plans to Wuhan, going to the Super Bowl was absolutely fine. As it turned out, it wasn’t fine. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis now says the Super Bowl in Miami may have been a breeding ground for the spread of the virus. But Fauci kept going. On February 17, when coronavirus cases were starting to appear all over the world, he once again reassured the American public that the danger in this country was, quote, “just minuscule.” He said people ought to worry more about the quote, “real and present danger” of the annual flu.
Less than two months ago, Anthony Fauci told us not to worry about this epidemic. Now he’s demanding that the federal government quarantine the entire country.
But on other, likely more important, numbers, the predictions have terrible at best. As of yesterday, the IHME model predicted that the country would need 135,000 hospital beds, just to treat coronavirus patients. New York alone, the model predicted, would need 56,000. That was not even close. Yesterday, New York was at about 13,400 coronavirus hospitalizations. That’s not even a quarter of what the model predicted. And even that was closer that what it foresaw in other states. The model predicted Oklahoma would need a thousand hospital beds. They’re using 38. Louisiana had a forecast of 5,800 required beds. The state has had about 1,600 hospitalizations. And so on. Nationwide, just three states had more hospitalizations than the model predicted. In all three cases, they are small states with minuscule outbreaks so far.

Here’s the problem with getting these numbers so horribly wrong: They’ve driven massively disruptive government policy. Our entire national shutdown is based on the fear that Coronavirus patients would overwhelm hospitals. That mostly hasn’t happened. If the model had been accurate, would we have quarantined the country? Good question. But it’s too late now. More than ten million Americans have already lost their jobs. Imagine another year of this. That would be national suicide. Anthony Fauci doesn’t want to hurt America. He seems like a decent person. But Fauci is not an economist — or for that matter, someone who fears being unemployed. Like most of the people around him, he’s got bulletproof job security. He has the luxury of looking at the world through the narrow lens of his profession. He doesn’t seem to think much outside it.

This is just part of the game they are playing to see how the general public will react, each little new game will give them more intel so when the time comes to do a major take over of the general public they know just exactly what to play out so they have the least resistant from the general public

I just can't buy that thinking. Other than the democrats being misguided in what they believe I ain't buying some big conspiracy to take over the US population. Americans have had too much freedom and free thinking to fold like some other countries have done.

While this maybe true for those of us say 30 and above, the younger generation just don't care. Their idea of freedom is calling someone a noob over a mic headset as they play the latest xbox game online. Their brain is plugged into the virtual world and reality could take a major dump and they won't notice until the internet goes dark. Go read Ready Player One (the movie was good, but the book does a better job of showing how far people get submersed into an online life), notwithstanding the dystopian future part, the blurred line of online vs reality is already here.

Right now a vast majority of the US are addicts. Some on drugs, some on alcohol, but most of them to the internet. And they who control the source of those addictions controls the addicts.

"In furthering efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19 in the Lawton community, Lawton City Council voted to enact additional measures that will take effect at noon on April 10, 2020:

  • Hunting/Fishing and Boating will be not be permitted on City of Lawton property.
  • Cloth masks or face coverings of any material – something that covers a person’s mouth and nose without having to be held up by hands – will be required to be worn outside of a home. Children under 3 are not required to wear a mask. If a mask poses a safety risk to a person while performing a job duty, a mask does not need to be worn while that job duty is carried out. (Scarves, makeshift masks from T-shirts or socks or bandanas are acceptable. With this measure, fabric and sewing stores may open by curbside service to provide such materials or make masks.) Surgical and medical masks are not recommended. These should be reserved for first responders and healthcare workers.
  • Mandatory quarantining measures will be imposed on individuals arriving to Lawton from certain states or countries, or areas with substantial COVD-19 community spread, as deemed applicable by the mayor. Such states and countries will be finalized and relayed to the public as soon as possible, as will details of the quarantine period.
At the direction of Mayor Stan Booker and Lawton City Council, City staff is working to draft and finalize the next executive order. It will be placed online for the community with further detail in new areas of requirement upon finalization.

Additional questions may be sent into [email protected].

Lawton City Council also voted to amend City Code on Tuesday morning, providing the Mayor Pro Tem with additional powers, duties and responsibilities – acting in concert with the mayor – during a time of civil emergency."

Officials wanting you to wear masks is not to protect you!
Its to catch particles flying out of your mouth that could infect others in case you got the virus and don't know it.
