I have no idea the whole story, I’ve just been reading these comments. It shocks me, how many here have said basically, it’s no big deal to stop on someone’s property and look around. I don’t know if it’s because many have been raised in metro areas, and it’s a common thing maybe? I was raised in a small town, but you just don’t go onto another man’s property for anything, unless you’re invited. Same with people crossing through another’s yard, and thinking nothing of it. I wouldn’t hurt someone, or even threaten them, it’s just that it’s rude to say the least.
I have no opinion one way or the other of what happened here, I don’t know the whole story, these dudes could just be whackjobs, with an itchy trigger finger. But, maybe there’s more to it, and force was deserved. What level of force should be up to the law though I do agree.
But, I just don’t get in other peoples business, so it’s for smarter minds than mine to decide lol.

Looks like you watched some videos and researched more than your admitting. Not sure but just saying. Maybe your just jogging i dont know.
I don't know what you're implying. I just said I haven't watched any videos or researched anything. I read the letter because it was posted on another forum in a similar topic. That's the extent of my exposure besides a ton of memes and others' posts on the topic. I don't think I've even watched a news story on it, honestly I don't watch much news these days, it's so much sensationalized, spun, edited BS it's really not any more helpful than TMZ or E!

I guess I'm kinda lost at your statement.

We live North of Waterloo Road a bit and have folks who regularly ride horses around and have had those folks actually walk them through our freaking yard. Not the edge by the road mind you, but like 25 feet off the road in a very soft part of the yard. They left huge, deep tracks. Wasn't what I wanted to find when I came home that day.

The road in front of our house isn't crazy busy or anything either.

My point exactly!
That said, I did finally watch some videos on this. YES, this guy had no business whatsoever, going onto that property, not to mention taking it a step further and actually entering the building. Innocent as his visit was, it was totally uncalled for, for him to be in there. As I stated earlier, a person has no business on another man’s property, for any reason, except in the case of an invitation.
HOWEVER, the father and son had even less business messing with him. You call the construction company, or even the police, you sure as hell don’t need to confront him with a weapon, and they should be locked up for their lives for killing him. This just my humble opinion.

I don't know if that is legit, but I know I've entered homes under construction a few times, sometimes it's just curiosity. Doesn't mean he was doing anything bad and it's certainly not a felony crime. And that is certainly not what they 'claimed' they were 'stopping' him for.

Their story is thin thin thin and they were overzealous and their actions led to his death.

Yeppers. So have I without any fear of deadly consequences

No, not particularly, I would just say I am trying to keep a bit of an open mind about it, and I AM open to changing my opinion, should actual factual evidence dictate such.

I don't know why the guy went on someone else's property, I don't know how egregious it was, and I don't condone it, either, but like I said, I have at times when I was younger wandered through a construction site of a home that was obviously half-finished or something, not meaning any harm, just kind of curious what things looked like. I've never taken anything and I would expect someone to take their tools and such with them if the construction site was unsecured. Not that it would give someone leave to appropriate them if something was left that way.

I just don't know. It sure sounds like a massive overreaction on the part of the father/son duo, from what little I truly know of the situation, but like I said, I am open to having my mind changed on that if evidence dictates it.

I'm reserving judgment until the trial. There's so much BS and "edited" clips of video, you can't believe anything anymore.

I remember the Rodney King video - entire event played out one way, the short clip the media wore out implied something completely different happened.

Same deal with Ferguson - convenient omission ain't any different than lying.

We'll see.

Amen!
The left media is guilty of using edited videos to create a narrative. You would think they would learn a lesson after being caught so many times but noooo.
Up chuck Todd on the Sunday morning bash Trump show did exactly that and got busted for it.

Ive watched what is available in my ability of searching the case. From what ive learned so far is: Do NOT allow someone to grab your gun without shooting them first. Do NOT run from homes. If you must go in to see what one looks like ask permission first. Wear a better disguise when lurking around when up to no good. Do NOT return to the seen of a crime. And if your ever are truly just jogging and innocently stopping by a private home under construction and going inside to look and then take off running and get confronted by a couple guys with a gun you should do as Forest Gump and keep running.

As I was taught a long time ago, two wrongs don't equal a right. Was Arbery wrong for trespassing? Sure. Could he have been the thief in the neighborhood? Possibly. Did these two clowns witness him committing a crime? So far all indications are no. Both parties did something they shouldn't have done, and it cost a man his life. Those that took his life should answer to the fullest extent of the law.
