This is my life in the world of IT everyday. Do your job right and people will think they don't need you because nothing goes wrong. But if something is broken then obviously you're incompetent and need to be fired. So I think it's 100% a good description of the last few months.

Heh . . . I feel your pain.

It's especially aggravating when folks complain about down time due to maintenance. But when you miss that maintenance window and it doubles the down time on the next one they whine about it taking longer than before.

A bunch?

Where they all at?

90k deaths and counting. That’s a lot of death certificates and two men can keep a secret when one of them is dead.

Lots of hospitals, lots of doctors, lots of MEs and family members. I’d need more than one or two claims to believe this one.
He's been watching CNN again.

I think SMS said it best --- all the models were assuming no preventative measures. So now we're in the arena where two contestants are vying for supremacy. In the red corner we have "The models were wrong because the deep state and NWO were only trying to scare us and trample our rights and freedoms and make us not get haircuts". And in the blue corner we have the much less boring, but probably more correct "They were wrong precisely because we did social distancing and lockdowns and science is trying to help us and not kill us".

LOL you must be reading different articles than I can find. Both red and blue are abusing this thing to further agendas from what I can find. I read and take in "news" and try and find a middle ground that makes sense. , with some searching and listening to people who have more knowledge on a subject than I do.
Really wish someone, anyone would introduce a law to re-instate the equal time rules or what ever it was called ( memorex is lacking). This tribal agenda driven 24/7 news is just awful.

Fried okra even in the winter time. Green-picked black eyed peas. Meatloaf, pot roast, every kind of pie you can imagine.
What happened to them days?

edit: I’m not even being sarcastic.
My mind wanders
There alive and well. Course you can't make it in time tonight but we generally eat around five. Kinda depends on when the biscuits are done. Come on over some time if you want to.

I suppose looking back using the terms "red corner" and "blue corner" was a stupid idea considering how political this all gets.

I do agree that both sides want to spin it a certain way. More than anything though I don't really see that EITHER side seems to really GAF about actual Americans ---- they only want to make themselves look right. That's more and more what I don't get though in general. Everyone wants to pick a side and have it be right rather than objectively looking at issues and then deciding what they think is right. Both sides of the aisle have some valid points on different issues, but everyone is so focused on being on the winning side that no one wants to compromise or work together and many will just instantly be against something forever on that party line basis. And that just further drives each party to care about itself rather than us 99%.

That article is kind of a bit on the dumb side. It says:
Host Laura Ingraham read Jensen the guidelines, which say: "In cases where a definite diagnosis of COVID cannot be made but is suspected or likely (e.g. the circumstances are compelling with a reasonable degree of certainty) it is acceptable to report COVID-19 on a death certificate as 'probable' or 'presumed.'"

and then later on says:
Jensen then told Ingraham that under the CDC guidelines, a patient who died after being hit by a bus and tested positive for coronavirus would be listed as having presumed to have died from the virus regardless of whatever damage was caused by the bus.

So what about the guideline quoted says to list the cause of death as Covid versus "blunt force trauma from getting hit by a bus". Even then, the quote makes no sense because (in theory) testing for Covid should actually result in a definite "positive" or "negative". But again, the actual guideline as quoted doesn't say to not list the COD as Covid because of the bus. It does seem to indicate that if a patient was experiencing all the checkmark symptoms of Covid before death, and there's no other definite reason, then it is up to the ME/Doctor to make a determination and it would be "acceptable" to list it as such. It doesn't even say it's "required" to list it. It simply says acceptable because I would think that the CDC thinking is that most Doctors are big boys and girls that can use the matter between their ears.
