I am about -7% for the year, about -9% from my previous high. +3% for the last 12 months.

I was down nearly 30% initially, but have been too afraid to look until now. Thanks for the heads' up, it is a small (somewhat) bright spot in a rough week.

<edit> That was one account, I have 2 401ks I am watching. Just checked the other one and I am trying to interpret it. Their system isn't nearly as user friendly as Schwab's. Looks like it is -6.35% for the year.

The thing I just can't understand is how the worse the news gets the more the stock market gains. It appears the economy and the stock market are now completely detached. I'm guessing the gov and central banks have completely taken over the markets.
Here’s a great meme to explain why the market is going up and the media is reporting that everything is terrible. The market mitigates risks while the media hides from it.

There's some pumped up metrics in the market IMO. The shyt will hit the fan eventually in terms of economic data, so keep some cash handy. However, there's no other place to go for investors. Cash products suck.

JMO. Worth what you paid for it.

There's probably some money to be made playing around in tech, pharm and O&G if you are quick on gun.

No lie there.... Pharm especially. I have some ARWR in a "fun money" account as you call it. But some of the big boys don't look too bad. I always get burned on them though.

My tech ETF is up over 30% in the last 3 months.

To the OP, I'm still in the hole but overall I'm basically close to recovered from the crash. I'm really long on DVN and it's dragging the rest down but dripping the dividend the entire time (several years) helps a little. It may be another year before the loss is small enough to eat and bail on it.

I told my broker to buy buy buy when COVID shut down everything. I think I'm up 23% from where I was! That's what the statement says anyway.

I bought gnus at $1.80, about three weeks ago. It went to $8.00 today, supposed to be a big announcement tomorrow. Now buying inuvo and express spa, money to be made.

I'm still down roughly 9% from my high point just before the COVID-19 bust. At the lowest, I think I was down about 26%.
