At least they’re screwing residents and nonresidents almost equally this time, and I’m sure adding fees is a definite way to attract more guests to the parks too.:lmfao:

I’ve been hunting in Alfalfa county since the mid 70’s, and I can see the Salt Plains lake from my house up there. Yet, I’ve never been to the park or the lake, and parking fees aren’t encouraging me to go now for sure.

Maybe if they managed the money better we wouldn't get to this but I guess I will still not go out there. I only go to dirty bird once or twice a year and always remember that I don't go because of how nasty it is.

So you gotta keep all your paperwork with you now?

I’m going to look at this more closely. I think I read that you can get a federal park pass if you meet the qualifications that allows free access or reduced amounts.
The Ok state park system is a drain on the ok budget. Only two or three make enough money to stay open legitimately.
It’s said that Little Sahara state park alone supports a lot of the parks that can’t sustain themselves.

I like Little Sahara. It was a blast during college at Alva. I never knew it was so popular and made a profit. Do they still have the camels?

Once again it is a charlie foxtrot to gain any resemblance of cooperation and information on the Oklahoma parks website. when you click on getting a parking pass you are directed to a subcontractor's website you have to "sign up" to use. I ain't a gonna do it.

No state employees smart enough to control the parking and fees?
