Practice practice practice. Dots on handguns aren't fast to acquire without proper practice and training.
Do a few quick holster strips to target and you'll see how much you're searching for the dot.

That's fair. I'm not going to invest in it until I can actually get to the range more often.

Thats my problem living here in Lawton. Nearest range that is open daily is 30 mins away. So its a planned day and not a "hey, lets go to the range" spur of the moment thing

honestly, not much range time is needed. Draw, present, dry fire is probably how people get 99% of their learning done with the MRDS.

That makes sense. The first thing that was weird to me was the requisition part. Granted my first go at it was a FNX in .45 but it took a minute for me to adjust.

Everybody thinks putting a dot on their handgun will make them John Wick, until they go out to do live fire and realize that the dot doesn't just appear before their eyes.
Practice people. I know there's a lot of folks on here that are on their death beds and highly medicated with old people pills (druryj) but slapping an expensive dot on your gun doesn't make you a sharp shooter.
