Items posted for sale in classifieds was a sig 365 with price wanted and meeting place. I PM'ed him my phone # and he responded. My daughter was wanting the pistol and lives about 1 1/2 hours from meeting place. She contacted him and arranged for meeting today @ noon. Deal was made. She took off work and texted him to tell him she was good to go. He informed her that he had sold pistol 30 minutes earlier to someone else.
I'm kind of old-fashioned I guess, but to me a deal is a deal. But, I figure if he is in the habit of doing business that way, so be it. I wasn't out any money, but daughter lost a day's work. I can sleep good tonight.

Sorry to hear. I feel the same way a deal is a deal when "I will take it" is posted. That's why we have feedback, to let people know of bad sellers/traders.

Dang it, sorry to hear. We(the mods) don’t want this to turn into armslist. I have no problem with outing these people but encourage anyone that has a bad experience to use the feedback system. A couple scathing negative feedbacks and the losers will crawl back to AL.

I'm going to be the dissenting opinion and say it depends.... if your agreement was conditional on looking at it first, you can't blame him for making a sale when he could, as opposed to a potential sale that might or might not go through.

But if the agreement was to buy, I'm inclined to agree with you. I'd never make that agreement without seeing it first though.

I'd want to hear the other guy's side of the story before I decide, but fortunately I don't have to decide anything. So I'll just say, sorry that happened to you and your daughter.

Well it might be a blessing in disguise. The P365 is my EDC, but IMO stay away from the SAS model. You have no sites in the dark. If you cover the clear piece of plastic over the rear sites, it goes dark.
But still, that's messed up.

TS has probably bought and sold more on here than all of us put together. Not defending him in this situation, but someone reaching out to me, saying someone else will meet you raises a red flag with me. Just sayin.

BUT a deal is a deal.
