My docs has ordered me to get more exercise. Seems walking and yard work are not enough for her. My pulmonologist ordered a portable concentrator for me since I keep running out of small O2 bottles. Well turns out the company that supplies my O2 is still trying to fill orders from 2019!

The machines are available. I can get one overnight but they are expensive, about $3000.00 with the extra batteries and all. I would think a company in the business, that deals with the VA too, should be able to provide one if ordered by a doctor but it seems not!

Sorry just needed to vent.

Found their Facebook page for the national office and filed a complaint with them. If that does not work I will start posting reviews around the web. They will learn not to piss off the Polak. First they were bringing me half empty O2 bottles now they can not supply doctor ordered equipment. Either do your job or void the contract so someone else can.

I don't know who your oxygen company is but I had good service from Lincare both in FL and in Tulsa. When I moved my Mom from FL to Tulsa they also provided the oxygen service on both the connecting flights through Atlanta.

Mine is Rotech and I would not recommend them to anyone that is in the least bit active. They were OK when I was stuck in bed for awhile and when I could just move from the bed to my computer desk. Suck as I started getting more active. You ever try to mow your back yard with a O2 tube dragging along? Not so good and real easy to run over the tube.

You should report it to the VA office. I hate ineptitude, maybe they acting this way because they dealing with the VA.

I could write a book on the subject. Rotech on Reno is a lousy company and, AND once you get a company delivering O2 it TAKES AN ACT OF CONGRESS to switch to another company. I fought with them for four years. First of all they would not deliver. Then when I got them to deliver, they would not deliver again for another 3 months. Since the O2 script was for a month, they still refused to deliver for three months. Every damn month I had to get the script and take it to them from the doctor, pick up the bottles and take them to my mother. I would call Rotech to make sure they had the bottles ready and when I arrived they were not or had been given to another customer causing another return trip for me. After four years of red tape and state law and policy crap from Rotech, and fighting with the roving doctors that frequented the nursing homes to get one to write an new script requesting the company change, I finally got Rotech changed to another company.

When I finally got to tell them they were the absolute worst company I have ever done business with in my entire life, they apologized and had the new manager come out to discuss it with me in the waiting room where people were waiting on the bottles to be exchanged. I absolutely unloaded on her. People in the waiting room left. The receptionist was fired right in front of me and the guy in the back that was the delivery guy was fired next. I told her after four years, it was too little, too late, and walked out.
