And that's why I clarified that this was in reference only to this video. From what I'm seeing on the video, the aggressor here is the police officer. I am willing to accept that there is quite the possibility that the "protesters" seen in this video have been "rioters" in other instances (possibly directly prior to this incident). But from the information given, I think the flying tackle shown in this video comes off as showing the masses that the police are, in fact, violent. And yes, the video definitely could have been edited to show only the part where the protesters are not currently being rioters. I'm not disagreeing with that possibility. I'm just commenting on the information given.
What you are not seeing is what led up to the incident. Fact is the video was probably edited to make the cops look like the bad guys

So, let me get this right. The best way to answer a protest about police violence is to come in to a crowd of people that are not (at least on this video) being violent and be violent to them? Makes a lot of sense to me.
Gee, I wonder why there are protests against police violence going on.

Give violence a chance.

I can’t recall ever seeing MLK or any others of that era protesting after dark. I don’t recall looting nor burning either.

BLM does a lot of protesting the right way, with notice, permits, and escorts and on a pre-announced schedule. If they are actually protesting it’s not at 2:00 AM in the morning while armed with all manner of weapons. These aren’t protestors at all man they’re rioters.

So I'm lost, what was the context of this? There was one officer in the center, surrounded 20-30 feet away by a number of people facing him. I don't know what those people were doing to make the cop want to run up and crack heads. Can anyone verify?

"Protesting" in the dark, lasers everywhere, people carrying makeshift shields, engaging LE, graffiti everywhere, and bottles flying......

Not sure what you saw, but that probably leads me to a compromise in what is probably a snapshot intended for negative optics.

Some people sympathize with the protestors I think.... I don't- they are trying to tear down this country. Whether they are actively being violent or watching the moon at 2 AM, they don't deserve to be on our streets. Mark my words, one day Marxists will be in our congress along with OAC and her sisters if this is allowed to continue.

That was probably because protesting after dark would've been insanely dangerous. I don't know about looting, but there was quite a bit of burning, just not by the protesters.
