Finally got some cameras out the other day. No shooters yet but impressed at the jump this one made. As always, hope he makes it another year! But everyone knows how that usually ends up lol. Jury still out on the tactacam. Gonna set up a covert next to it for a field test. Not getting near the pics I usually get.

I’ve read some not so positive reviews on the Reveal camera. I was really hoping Tacticam had it figured out and was going to revolutionize the cellular game cam market, but I’m going to say again what I’ve been saying for years. Generally, you get what you pay for when buying cheap electronics.
If I’m going to spend the extra for a cell cam and service, I’m going to use one that’s “proven” (not saying any of them can’t crap out), but for now, I’ll stick to the tried and true Spartans (even if I have to use a 14’ antenna to get service).
Honestly, if the antenna hadn’t worked, I had decided to go back to 100% non cellular cameras. It takes a lot of time to go through several thousand pictures, but at least I would have the pictures.:anyone:

This is my back yard. These three have been coming to my feeder for about 2 months now. It is only 30 yards from our patio and My wife and I sit out most every night. We no longer have to be quiet or sit still because they have gotten used to use being there. We can even go in and out of the house and it doesn't bother them. There are 2 6 point bucks and 1 doe. The doe is looking at us because we are face timing the grand kids to show them. They usually walk over to the peach tree once the corn is gone. They are even starting to just walk a little closer to us just to check us out. These 3 usually come about dusk but we do get others that come in the night as well. Makes for interesting entertainment.

I ran a feeder for the first time in a few years last year, but it never really worked out for us. Once I confirm that we can again hunt this property, I plan to move the feeder to a different spot, one that we hunted some last year and had a couple nice bucks get by us without getting a shot. Will place a camera there, and hope I don't have the coon problem I had last year...if so, the DP traps are ready again...

I've been quite happy with my tacticam reveal. Only some minor complaints but it's their first release of a cell cam and it can all be addressed by updates. Nothing big coming by it yet.

High movement shot and high contrast shot with shadows / bright sun. These are screenshots from the app, so not the true pictures.
