I am waiting also. But the media will never say it.Still waiting for someone to show data for a declination in numbers since mask mandates were passed. Since they are significant in fighting transmission and all.
All I got is empirical evidence. June 1st - Phase II re-opening, people observed everywhere without masks or social distancing. People were simply throwing caution to the wind and we started a significant spike. During the past several weeks we have had mandates, and most everyone I see at stores are wearing mask and practicing social distancing. I was in Sam's, Lowes, Walgreens, and Uptown Grocery today and only saw a total of 6 people without a mask, 3 of them were a mother and 2 children. The number of cases rising and dropping seem remarkably tied to changes in behavior.Still waiting for someone to show data for a declination in numbers since mask mandates were passed. There has been more daily tests beginning in June but I'm guessing many tests are performed because someone is exhibiting symptoms or has been in contact with a confirmed case. The "gray" bars int the chart below are the number of daily tests.Interesting...but I also believe the spike was due to more testing.

That one is showing net active cases, which a number of variables could apply to the recovery of covid. New infections are what I'm looking for because looking at the data from health.ok.gov shows an increase overall since the week the mandate was employed here and it's almost been a month.
Let's take the executive report from July 10-16

Then let's look at the one from last week.... while it did show a decrease from the previous week.... the week before had a 70% jump.
