If there hasn't been story after story of inflated numbers both in deaths and cases.

But by all means, continue building your very solid cases off of unreliable data.
As I stated in a previous post, you choose what you want to do. I couldn't care less if you wear a mask or not. I couldn't care less if you are close-minded and not open to reviewing all information when making decisions or revising decisions when new information becomes available. I couldn't care less if you still think the world is flat. In other words, I couldn't care less what you choose to do. I was just providing you with information to make an informed decision.

All I got is empirical evidence. June 1st - Phase II re-opening, people observed everywhere without masks or social distancing. People were simply throwing caution to the wind and we started a significant spike. During the past several weeks we have had mandates, and most everyone I see at stores are wearing mask and practicing social distancing. I was in Sam's, Lowes, Walgreens, and Uptown Grocery today and only saw a total of 6 people without a mask, 3 of them were a mother and 2 children. The number of cases rising and dropping seem remarkably tied to changes in behavior.

I’m in Pueblo Colorado currently. Mandatory face coverings in public.
90% of the people in stores have the nose exposed, mask on the chin, or mask on the crown of the forehead. Legal by law mandate that face covers are required. It doesn’t say where they must be worn.
Had to come here for a medical procedure. 90% of the staff didn’t have anything but rags on the face. The physician attending me had his nose exposed.
Scientists have examined 14 different masks.
The neck gaiters and the frito bandito scarves are shown to be worse than no mask at all.
Extremely porus so the droplets are smaller and remain in the air longer.

“But while bandannas and knitted face coverings may be a unique look, they did not offer much protection, according to the study.

The scientists also discovered that neck fleeces, or neck gaiters, often worn by runners, were the least effective and actually allowed more respiratory droplets to escape than not wearing a mask at all.”

The meme is not directed at you but my general opinion of mandatory mask wearing.

Yep - a crappy mask or not properly wearing an appropriate mask is worthless (assuming some level of protection can be provided by the mask).

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a gas the body naturally produces as waste. We breathe in oxygen (O2) to fuel organs and tissues and the end product is CO2. The balance between these two gases is required for a healthy body. However, when we rebreathe CO2 it can have harmful and sometimes dangerous effects on the body. When CO2 levels are elevated in the body it is known as hypercapnia. Hypercapnia can occur for a number of reasons, one of which is rebreathing our own exhaled CO2. Rebreathing CO2 can lead to increased blood pressure, headaches, muscle twitches, rapid heart rate, chest pain, confusion, and fatigue. In extreme cases, if left untreated, hypercapnia can lead to organ damage and even have long standing effects on the brain.

So now you Know. Gives a whole New perspective to "I cant Breathe"

Mist be why so many doctors and nurses have such short professional careers, co2 affecting their brains and such...

I'll have to look closer at this. I'm no Mathematician, but it doesn't make sense to me that the 7-day moving average of new cases that I provided would be trending down while the current week to the previous week trend you are discussing would be trending up. The only difference is (hopefully) time - daily cases versus bulk of cases for a week. In other words, the daily numbers for a week should equal the bulk of a week number in the Executive Report.

July 10-16 Confirmed cases. 4945 Deaths 28 Recovered 3995
July 17-23. Confirmed cases. 4528. Deaths 39. Recovered 4346
July 24-30 Confirmed cases 7771 Deaths 59. Recovered 5970 <----- Highest it's been since they started collecting data
July 31-Aug 6 Confirmed cases 5661 Deaths 57 Recovered 5909

Per the epidemiology reports on the same site. All metrics posted here have increased yes?

CDC has now updated their guidance to exclude masks with vents.

Four data points is not really enough to see a trend. Also, there is a bunch of ineffective masks being used and a bunch of half-ass mask wearing going on out there. Smarter people than me say there is some positive benefit to wearing a mask (properly). Doctors / medical staff at hospitals wear masks - why?

The mortality rate is extremely low - even with fudged numbers. I have a healthy immune system; Not going to significantly adjust my life, endorse business closures and stimulus checks due to the weak. Welcome to earth, mother nature can be a *****. Take care of yourself so mom doesn't remove you from the equation and don't expect others to alter thier lives and/or lose everything they've worked for for decades because it has a very, very, very, very small chance of killing you.

This is the most blown up thing in the history of the US. Our "leadership" has failed us and so has our media. Spreading lies and propaganda for politics. All the data has been weaponzied the best it can be to make it appear worse than it is... But the mortality rate is still so very low. What does that tell you?

Death rates are significant for those 55 and older.
