Man, these crazy prices on 9mm make going to the range less and less likely.
No kidding. One dude wanted to trade me for some 556, but he expected 60ç/rnd on the 9mm. Told him I'd do it at $1/556 lol

I don’t understand the obsession with ammo. How many armed encounters can a person expect to survive in a worst case scenario? It’s a little bit silly. I’ve thought long and hard about it. Any more than 50k rounds is overkill. At that point you have to consider storage volume, security, maintenance etc.
I like to have 1k rounds of factory ammo for each caliber that I primarily shoot that is my reserve that I never get below. I'm light on 38spc and .357, but don't shoot those much at all. Now 22lr, you can't have too much, when you have grandkids that like to shoot. I got caught pretty thin during the obummer years and never want to be in the position to tell my grandkids that I can't take them shooting.
I will practice a little more with the .22 these days to extend the range day.I like to have 1k rounds of factory ammo for each caliber that I primarily shoot that is my reserve that I never get below. I was caught short during the Clinton thing. In 1994 I was scratching for primers. This has happened several times in the last 20 years. I got caught with my pants down on the first ammo scare. Never again.
