Found an original aluminum buttplate for a 10/22.

Yours fits way better than mine did. I searched one out, did the same thing and it was WAY off from fitting.
Its a bummer too, I love the grain on this one. Maybe I should try again?
Yes, it's just barely a bit narrower right at the top, but not enough to matter.
I had thought about trying to scuff the plastic one and then use aluminum spray paint, but i didn't think that would last long term.
Now to find some SS screws for it.

Finally got around to scoping the new Ruger tonight. Vortex rings, Leupold 3X9 scope and Harris bipod. Finished off with my can. Shot some subsonic rounds through it and it is literally quieter than my air rifle.
Scored 1200 rds of .22lr at Walmart in Moore.
