The California governor was on the evening news saying that it was because of climate change

And some other expert saying that there are too many trees in the forest.

The ignorant fool Newsome doesn't' realize climate change has been going on for millions of years. What is ignorant is that he thinks humans can change it.
Oklahoma was under glaciers for millions of years, then when the glaciers were receding, Oklahoma was under about 200' of salt water.
Of course the climate is changing. Places as far North as Moab Utah were formed by inland seas.
It has been for millions of years and the thought that humans can stop it is insanity. We have to adapt, but the dims can't accept the truth.

I noticed when Newsom was telling us that the fires were due to Climate Change he was grinning like a Chesire cat. I didn't think the fires were that funny, it took out an entire town. He won't blame Antifa, that's a major liberal voting bloc.

Terrorists take "credit" for the death and destruction they cause, keeping their involvement secret does not fulfill their desire to make a political statement. I call b.s. on this notion.
Now that the idea has been put out there I wouldn't be surprised to hear some group or groups claiming they started the fires even if they didn't - or think it's a good idea and go out and start a few.

I think it's more like the dims won't admit the truth. It doesn't fit their agenda. It's like the 'homeless" issue. When they are in power, you don't hear anything about homelessness nor do they do anything to alleviate it. When they are not in power, it is one of their major issues shouted from the rooftops. It's about having the issue, not solving it. Prime example: The filthy streets that they won't clean up because they are in power. If they lose power in those cities, all you'll likely hear about is how the "current administration" is doing nothing to solve those problems they neglected in the first place.

Walk on any street in San Francisco and ask anyone where the nearest toilet is and they'll probably tell you, "You're standing in it."

The root cause is fire suppression...too many millions of dollars spent year after year putting fires out instead of letting natural fires keep the amount of fuel load down to normal levels. Secondary issues include letting people build where it is not safe and environmentalists opposing thinning and construction of fire breaks. Whoever or whatever lights the match is of lesser importance. It will be a long time before the Lebanese store fireworks and ammonium nitrate together in the middle of a populated area. We on the other hand have not learned the importance of allowing fire in the landscape.....Back here at home the problem is spelled redcedar.

...The pattern is a form of insanity: We keep doing overzealous fire suppression across California landscapes where the fire poses little risk to people and structures. As a result, wildland fuels keep building up. At the same time, the climate grows hotter and drier. Then, boom: the inevitable. The wind blows down a power line, or lightning strikes dry grass, and an inferno ensues. This week we’ve seen both the second- and third-largest fires in California history. “The fire community, the progressives, are almost in a state of panic,” Ingalsbee said. There’s only one solution, the one we know yet still avoid. “We need to get good fire on the ground and whittle down some of that fuel load.”
