I need some parent advice. Last December had my first kid. He has been sleeping in his crib the past 3 months. Thank god we got him out of our bed. But here’s our problem... We just can’t seem to keep him asleep. He is awake every 2-3 hours wanting fed.

any tips or tricks? I just want a non interrupted 8 hours of sleep. Lol

We did One of the hardest things we had to do. Go in and check on him, change diaper and then lay him back down and let him cry it out. It’s tough! But they soon learn that you don’t give in to every cry. Then they’ll start sleeping through the night. But bulk them up right before bed is good too.

I agree with some above on checking him, changing the diaper and putting him back in the crib to cry it out. The three month mark is the point at which most babies should start sleeping through the night. Our son did almost 3 months on the spot. Out boy would have a difficult time going to sleep at night and would wake up occasionally and not want to go back to sleep. THere were multiple times i loaded him up in his car seat at 1am and went for a 30 minute drive. Like magic, he would fall asleep hard and be goo until the morning. It is a thought and worked for us. My sister in law uses a white noise and natural sound maker to get here kids to sleep who are 5 and 7 and have used it their whole lives. Seems to work for their kids. Give it a try.

Thank god we had a wind up swing so you could sleep on the couch:bowdown:

Jumping in the car worked too but you don’t get any sleep....... They’ll grow out of it but don’t rush in every time they fuss.

Some childhood specialists have said that a child's personality that will last them the rest of their lives will be developed by the age of 2.
After being around MANY families raising their children, I can see where that can be truth.
Discipline and different types of nurturing can determine the rest of their lives.
The swing that made noise worked great to get them to sleep, and they were on their own until morning. We never allowed them in our bed. They started life in their own crib and stayed there.

On the third one I determined that breastfeeding was the way to go, saved a ton of jack on formula and when they woke up wanting to eat I’d shake her and say “the babies crying :homer: If only we used cloth dippers on the third one I may have retired earlier.:hey3:
