Yep, I've got one like foghorn. Its nothing special, I think $22 at BPS. The lock can be picked pretty easy but it will prevent someone from just busting a window and picking it up. I keep it lashed around the base of the driver's seat frame.
Get a lockbox for your vehicle. Door pockets, consoles and glove boxes are not secure areas to store firearms unless you want to contribute the the thousands of firearms stolen from vehicles every year.
If I leave a gun in my locked car, it IS the lockbox. You have to break into my lockbox to steal my gun.
How many lockboxes inside lockboxes must I own before I am not considered "asking for it" or responsible for the gun being stolen?
Asking for a friend.
Oh, and by the way, how many layers of clothing (specifically) must a woman wear covering her hoo-hah before it is not considered "ok" for a man to attempt to stick his dingus inside it without her permission? Or before she is not considered at fault if he does so?
Again... for a friend.
my former son inlaw bought one of those and when he showed it to me I opened it with a little bity thermostat screw driver in about 15 secondsI have a lock box with a cable to wrap around something in the vehicle, something like this:

A lock box could be anything that allows you to secure a firearm. I simple metal tool box with a padlock would work, it doesn’t have to be firearm specific.
A few years ago the city of Broken Arrow started a program to remind people to remove valuables from vehicles and lock their car doors, the call it the 9pm routine. They began the program because so many valuables were being stolen from unlocked vehicles.
