sgammo has some decent deals on bulk .40 cal. I'd buy some more if I had any money. $0.32/round for some. Lots in stock, too.

These were the good old days when I started shooting 9mm a lot. Never had many nines until it got dirt cheap.
I remember 9mm for less than $4 a box. And the cursed "assault weapons ban" had just ended.
Plus brand new 15 round mags for the win.
Added up to cheap blam-blam-blam-blam-blam...uhh I mean affordable "tactical practice" for all!
Right after that stuff at Academy dried up, Fred Baker had some kind of brass cased, boxer primed 9mm for $5 per box.
Don't remember who made that but it was new production (not surplus) and he had pallets full of it sitting in the floor at Outdoor America.
There may have been a quantity discount but a 50 round box of reloadable brass 9mm was an old Abe Lincoln.
Shot up one last box that I'd forgotten about several months ago.
Wish I bought a boxcar load.
