Working electrician
I was not a working adult I was a working high school freshman. I had farming chores. I got off school and worked in the field until 7 p.m. when dad got home. We ate supper together and I expounded on the day I had both at school and how the farm was going. After supper I could do homework. I hauled hay, and I hauled water to the farm in a big 5,000 tank I had to load in the back of the truck. I had to service all the machinery, change from spikes to sweeps on the harrow, mow the pasture, plow the 17 acre field and offset the other 800 acres of wheat stubble during summer. I had to feed and water the cattle, sheep and hogs every day 365 days a year.
I was 5.
I was working a little on a truck farm in Oklahoma, and I was illegality swamping on a hot shot truck in the oilfields of West Texas. I was fourteen.
If I ever wondered if this site was populated by a bunch of old people, this thread definitely cleared it up for me. Somehow, I feel a lot younger now than I did before opening it up. BTW: I was born half way through 1974.
Same here - 1970-71.
I never knew anyone in Finance, so Im blaming you for my pay always being jacked...
