from what i have gathered on the topic...SB tactical had (i think) 2 braces approved by the ATF...after that they created and sold different models to the public without going through the same "qualifying" steps as with the first 2 models...so technically the latter braces are "illegal" as of current. Pretty damn annoying.

I don't remember if I read it on here or elsewhere on the interwebs, but the general consensus is that braces are going to be made AOWs instead of SBRs, so that if you do end up in front of a judge, you'll get asked "It was only a $5 stamp, why didn't you just go ahead and get it?"

Edit: I finished my trust last week, I found out that Yukon PD does prints with appointment M-F 9-5, so I don't have to deal with the chaos of the sheriff's office. I should be submitted by the first on an e-file form 1 SBR. Until then, I have a Kak Shockwave 1 Blade on my pistol. You can still find blems for $19 and it makes a good placeholder.

Edit number two. I've spent some time with a 9mm Krink pistol with a tailhook. It's gotta be by far the heaviest, but definitely the most comfortable..
I was wondering about the Tailhook. Thanks for the info.
Also I got on the kak site and a blem will cost me close to $30 to get it to my house. As you and I know we're both doing the register thing at the same time so as much as I like the hook I'm leaning towards the blade and save some money since it's going in the pistol holster box anyway.
