Do mags have serial numbers?

If not, how they gonna tax 'em?

Or is it a one time thing that covers all yer mags?

Just curious, in case I ever want to buy a mag...
:drunk2:
Nope...he wants to tax $200 PER magazine that holds more than 10 rounds. Also, nope again, no serial numbers that I can see unless they're on the inside! Makes me wonder if they're going to try and just fish for what you have, research how many mags it came with, and come at you expecting a predetermined amount. Like "Oh, you have a Glock? Those come with three mags, so that'll be $600. KthnxBai."

I wonder how much they will pay to buy back mags. I may roll up with a box truck of p-mags and retire shortly there after. Just think of all those model 60 marlins with the 14 rounds of death. We gotta get those off the dirt roads to save people.

A “buy back” program will never pay what the item is actually worth. I’ve seen articles where a PD operates one of these programs and they give about $50.00 for a firearm, no matter what it is or the original price. To me, this also promotes theft because it’s usually a “no questions asked” transaction.

The thieves hear about a buy back, steal a few guns, sell them to the PD with no questions......free money.

So if the government “buys back” a stolen firearm, aren’t they guilty of receiving stolen property? :anyone:

You’d think so, but I doubt they’d even check the numbers for being stolen. “Give me the gun, here’s your money” and it’s tossed into a bin for destruction never to be seen or shot again.
