We were taught this in elementary school, and Salt Lake was used as an example. :thumb:

What made it stick in my mind, was a picture in the textbook (not a photo) of a family around a floating table-top with food on it, and they were all relaxed, floating, and eating sandwiches.

Probably a bit of overkill, but it did stay with me. :D

What kind of sandwiches?

I'm Pretty sure mass is in this some where. I.e. what has more mass 16 ounces of water or 16 ounces of salt water. We tend to say crashing down like a ton of bricks.....not a ton of feathers.....which weigh the same but the mass is a bit different.

Mass is not affected by gravity. An object in your back yard has the same mass as it would on the moon or floating in space (lol, assuming it wouldn't explode in a vacuum).

Anywho... mass doesn't matter regarding weight (which was the original question).
