I've been finding a bunch of these lately.
I thought I would try to reload some. DERP.

Snapped the head off. Obviously 2 piece.
Sometimes being frugal doesn't pay.
Got my die back today.

Yep, stay away from those. I've been seeing a lot of "Shell Shock" stamped brass from my range pickups recently. Haven't attempted to reload any of those. They just go in the trash.

I've also learned to toss any 'STV' stamped brass I come across. I'd say about 30% of those failed the case gauge after sizing. All having slight case head separation. STV brass is no bueno. Tula gets tossed as well.

They were a new cases introduced a few years ago. They are 1/2 steel so the can be picked up with a magnet, they have their own reloading dies to be able to reload them.

Shell Shock’s NAS3 9mm cases are 50% lighter than brass cases, offer greater lubricity and will not abrade, clog, foul, wear-out or damage breach and ejector mechanisms. The cases offer greater corrosion resistance, higher tensile strength (2x stronger) and more elasticity than brass. NAS3 cases have been tested successfully by customers to pressures over 70k psi. NAS3 cases eject cool to-the-touch and can be picked up with a magnet.

NAS3 cases will not split, chip, crack or grow (stretch) and are fully-reloadable using a set of S3 Reload dies
