Has anyone had any experience with the EarthStraw "Code Red" 150 Foot Pump system? I'm looking for a back up to the electric well pump at my ranch just in case of power outages. FloJack says that this unit is very robust and will out last me (which won't be that hard LOL).
My well is around 170 ft. deep with the static water level at around 35 feet. Any feedback will be great....

Just looked at the link. It appears to be a simple system to get emergency water from a well.
Our well pump is only 30' into the well. Water table is 10' below ground level.
It would work great for us getting water in 5 gallon containers etc.
With your 35' water level, I'd think it would work good for you as well.

That thing looks expensive to me for basically just an old well hand pump.

I'm not familiar with Well systems but If I was going to spend that kind of money I'd consider a generator for intermittent backup in combination with a reservoir like an extra large Well Pressure tank (i see an 86 gallon one) Maybe with a fail closed Input solenoid valve connected to a household outlet to insure it held pressure when power is lost

We actually have a dedicated generator for our well. We are 3/10 mile from our well and 129' above the water table with the house up on a bluff.
What we have learned after 30 years living here is that when power fails, we can power our home with a backup generator I hook up in an outbuilding and backfeed the main breaker panel after shutting the main off.
The well is on a seperate meter/feed so to get water back up to the house a separate generator has to be used. We don't leave it running, just long enough to fill water containers and get some reserve.
We keep several cases of bottled water around for drinking that gets used and replaced, so that is enough to keep us for a week or longer. We take water from the pool with a pump and fill the garden tub in the bathroom so we can bucket water out of there for flushing toilets.
Our water is so hard, the double check valve system I added to the well pump doesn't seal completely which turned out to be a good thing when those temps got down to -14 degrees. We were in South Tx at the time and our system had drained back so nothing froze.
Country living at it's finest! One just has to learn to adjust and adapt.
