Here, but occasionally There.
Now for the good part and what made it worth going to. While checking out we happen to notice a selection of roll candies. Lifesaver 5 flavor, Lifesavers Butter Rum, and Reed's root beer. We bought one of each because it has been decades since we have seen the butter rum or root beer. I ate one of the root beer tonight and they still taste like the real thing. We will be going back every now and then since it does not cost anymore than Boomerang and the food is much better.

We were in one about a week ago, and I noticed in the store part a box labeled "Lawn Darts." Sorry, but I wasn't curious enough to open the box and see just how those were made.

Maybe if we go back, I'll be bored enough to check.

You mean Saltine American Barrel.

As lurkerinthewoods put it, they're a safe choice for good food. There may be better restaurants out there, but the Cracker Barrel is better than most, and they're pretty consistent--if you find something you like, chances are pretty good you'll like it at any Cracker Barrel you visit.

My wife used to love to stop there any time we were on the road. They they finally opened one on our side of Tulsa and I'd ask if she wanted to go there, and she rarely ever did. Finally found out she didn't care that much for the food, she just liked to shop in the store. :rollingla

I looked at the box. Weighted rounded end. No dart to it.

The older ones were a dart tip and I can only imagine what happened that they redesigned em without the tip on em. LOL

There were a lot of injuries and a few deaths is my understanding. I think it had more to do with drunks and druggies trying to catch them than anything else.

They were literally over-sized darts. Like with a 2-3" steel tip, and a metal ring target 18" or so across. The goal was to compete throwing the dart into the ring, more/less kinda like horseshoes.

What could possibly go wrong... :lookaroun

At least one death. A 7 year old girl was hit in the head after another kid threw it over the house.

I'm not a great fan of Cracker Barrel.
They have good food. I'll not complain about that, but it's food I can cook at home for an average meal.
When I'm paying Restaurant prices, I want something that would be a PITA to make at home.
Always one to scour the menu to see if there is something I've not tried in the past.
Jalapeno Margaritas was the find last night with skirt steak smothered in shrooms, onion, bell pepper, squash and an amazing cheese sauce.
If I bought the ingredients to make this dish, it would cost twice what I paid.

Do they have beans and cornbread? there used to be a place call Po Boys I think in Norman and they had them but they are no longer. It is hard to find good southern food now days.

Man, I miss Po' Boys! We ate there a lot when I was kid since children under 5 (think) ate free, and I had triplet siblings, plus I think my dad got a discount for being on NPD.
