Wow, from what I was told by a collector at a gun show, that told me to watch for one for him, that is the prize. The brown one is easy to get but the black one in good condition are the hardest. Take care of it, I doubt if they will ever make that one again. Great find!

Theres a huge collectablity on remingtion built rifles, I imagine the stock is marked though, and thru identificaion of mold marks or other id's you should be able to tell. Just twenty years ago these were toss around guns, but with the former owners now reaching ages where they cash can drive the prices up.

It would be wrong to repesent a southamerican made stock from a new rifle off as a orginal stock to some one trying to rebuilt a collectable, but others have done such things and worse in this world.

Collectable or not, I plan on shooting the piss out of it while I thrash it to death..

Okay, maybe not "thrash it to death", but it will have a good home and I will clean it regularly.

CBC used Remington molds and tools.

CBC, like Remington was a subsidiary of DuPont.
