Nothing, lots of people do it so they can cover both calibers for the cost of one can. You can always get a 5.56 can later if you want it quieter with less weight.

I'd recommend AAC if you have the $$$, YHM if you don't want to spend that much. They both have flash hider adapters for quick swaps.

I use a YHM 308 Can on 5.56. Works great. Only issue is the extra weight.

If I ever decide to try a 3 gun match, I'd have to go lighter. Not sure I want to run around with it.
