Well i thought this was interesting.

I got a postcard today from the NRA-ILA that they are supporting Tom Adelson for the mayoral primaries for the democratic party.

I then got an email that stated that they were NOT going to endorse any Republican candidates for the primary.

They did however give Medlock an A, Bartlett an A-, and Falling a B. But they didn't single any of them out for support.

I think the rationale for not singling out a Republican has to do with their position that there are several candidates that are acceptable.

The Adelson endorsement is a bit of a suprise though.

Earlier today, I received an email from NRA-ILA (and a postcard by snail mail) that says they are endorsing Tom Adelson (D) for Tulsa mayor.

Shortly after that, I received an email that said they have made no endorsements for Republicans for mayor. There is a link that takes you to the ratings page (http://www.nrapvf.org/Elections/State.aspx?y=2009&State=OK) which indicates several Republicans, along with Adelson on the Democratic side, have "A" ratings.

So, my question is, what is it that makes them endorse Tom Adelson? Why do they endorse him as more "2nd-Amendment friendly" than the other candidates that were also rated as "A"? This inquiring mind want to know.....

I was just wondering what was going on myself.

"We endorse John Doe." "We just want to make it clear that we haven't endorsed John Doe."

EDIT:

And it appears they still endorse him HERE

I'm glad you posted this. I got the same combo.

Whats so hard to understand?
This is for the "Democrat" primary.
Adelson is rated pro-gun
The rest of the pond scum are NOT!

This is to hope that if a Democrat was
to win the election
The NRA would prefer Adelson

Got absolutely nothing to do with Republicans
or Independants cause they can't vote in the Democrat primary

I understand this part, but the Republican primary is the same day, and not all of them are rated as pro-gun. However, it's good to know he's pro-gun, as he has a good chance of winning.
