What are the risks of shooting high powered rifles at steel targets? Obviously richette is a factor, but how likely is that and what kind of damage can it do? If you were wearing eye protections would it be an issue at 100 yards?
I weld and do metal fab... I just cut up all my scrap into targets and when its destroyed, I just throw it in the bin to be taken for scrap and do it all over again.
Taz are the LV targets all rifle or handgun and rifle?
Are there any other local target makers? Shipping that heavy stuff has to be expensive? I'd like some poppers, and some 5"x5" square plates and stands to shoot with pistol and shotgun.
i know a guy in Lawton that I bought 2 sets of AR500 Steel plates from. A set is 1- 6"x6" ; 1- 8"x8" ; 1- 12"x12"...all have holes in them for hanging and a set is $120 right now.
My targets have been shot with a 7wsm, 223AI, 243AI, and 300 win mag and none have even cratered yet. (closest shot was 300yards)

Do you have any pictures and how thick are they?
The $$$$ come from having those steel targets 'heat treated'.
