After a tad over 3 months, i finally picked mine up at the sheriff's office today!!

I agree with others that say it isn't much of a risk. Having a CCW doesn't prove that you ever owned a gun. 4473s on the other hand, another story entirely.

As far as concealed carry gun, I'm going with the Kahr PM9 or Glock 27, depending on what I am wearing that day.

Nope.

If it gets that bad, they'll already be fighting us.

The best answer yet. +1000

And all those who run from the thought of the "list" probally won't be in the fight. They will be hiding somewhere staying away from a "list". Those who join me on the "list" may fight beside me, against those holding the "list".

Kind of a unique problem for the anti's with millions of gun owners with multiple guns, even if 75 % turn them in voluntarily the 25% that turns them in bullet first will be a bit of a problem.

I happen to enjoy being on the 'list' and have since CCW inception in Oklahoma. My wife got her CCW this past summer as well along with my sister-in-law. I believe the more folks we have in the ranks of legal carry the better for us all.

+1.

I am on so many lists already that one more does not much concern me. Like a lot of others in that regard.

I'm an Army vet, have had CCW in more than one jurisdiction, have a ham radio license, have a lifetime NRA membership, lifetime hunting license in one state and a five-year one here in OK [for now], and I am a registered republican. I've bought and sold guns, always obeying the local laws when I have done so. I have guns on my insurance policy. I've been a member at more than one range. I am a member of this forum. I could not hide my gun ownership if I tried. Sure, its another list I am on, and sure, I don't like that, but we are not starting with a blank sheet of paper to write our personal histories on.

hehe, I agree... there is so much "paperwork" floating around in cyberspace I really doubt any branch of the gov could decipher it.

There are so many list that could be used to track individuals, that I decided it was time to get on a list that I chose to be on. If you live in the US and have ever interacted with another human being, you are probably on at least one list.
