I just came here to post about Heartland closing it's doors unexpectedly and that if that affected you, to contact Barry. Time could well be of the essence, so I posted about it as soon as I had two reliable sources.
You know nothing about my three years of running the matches there, or...
So let me get this straight: you copied and pasted a post from the other thread to personally bash me in this thread, referencing a 2 yr old post I made that you didn't like....when both threads are about announcing the unexpected closing of a business that might affect people in a significant...
Saddlebum, email me again, please.
Castleeleven, Barry walked in the store 12-31-13. Said the store wasn't making enough money and announced HO was shutting down, effective immediately. The move was totally unexpected by any of the employees.
I expanded these thoughts in the other thread.
What an employee told me is Barry walked in, said the store wasn't making enough money and that he's closing it down, effective immediately. Oh, and Happy New Year. From my sources, Barry was the only one who knew he was going to do this, so the employees sold those gift cards in good faith...
I'm not happy about another gunrange/Gunshop closing. But some folks might have more than a passing interest in this turn of events if they have prepaid for a gun that hasn't arrived.
As far as making your holster, email me and we can discuss it civilly.
(Not sure which forum gets more traffic, so am posting again to get the word out) Not necessary. I merged the threads.
Just heard (and confirmed) that store owner Barry Bryant walked into the store today. 12-31-13, and told everyone Heartland Outdoors is DONE, effective immediately. This...
Just heard (and confirmed) that store owner Barry Bryant walked into the store today. 12-31-13, and told everyone Heartland Outdoors is DONE, effective immediately. This came as a sucker punch to all the employees, as there was no warning. This, despite his assurances on some forums that HO...
Rule 10.5.1 states:
"Handing a firearm at any time except when in a designated safety area or when under the supervision of, AND IN RESPONSE TO A DIRECT COMMAND ISSUED BY, a Range Officer."
You cannot come up to the line and draw your gun before told to do so by the RO.
Again, this was...
Mitch, I apologize for discussing your situation in public. I should've sent you a PM about it at the time. I will extend an olive branch by inviting you back to the Carrygun Match as my guest. IE; your match fee is waived. I hope you take me up on it.
Andreii, you are not supposed to draw...
Mitch, you don't remember shooting that last target from UNDER and across a "wall," which, as you know, are always deemed to go all the way to the ground unless otherwise specified. If you don't, that's not a good thing. But call it whatever you want, your shot went across the range, impacting...
It was the scorekeeper.
Yes, I should've stopped you and DQ'd you on the spot. It was second match we had, on the flashlight/surprise stage. Based on your actions, I stopped the match, brought ALL the shooters in and told them NOT TO SHOOT ACROSS THE RANGE, AS THEIR BULLETS WOULD HIT THE...
Mitch, you forget there was a witness. I should've handled it better at the time, but that doesn't change the fact: you shot the wall. It's been two years ago, you're not coming back, so it's a non-issue.
Andreii, one problem is not knowing who the shooters are. I can guess how long a...
I don't care what holster you use or recommend.
You are banned for shooting across the bay, into the wall. A very unsafe thing to do. You left immediately thereafter and never came back, so it's been a non-issue.
I wondered when you'd show up.
Andreii is the one that insisted on "Open Discussion," not me.
At least he isn't banned from the Carrygun Match. Only one local shooter holds that distinction.
I already outlined in a previous post how tier-shooting won't work in a sport where the time frames are not determined in advance.
Military Bolt Action Bench Rest (MBABR) is exactly where that format DOES work. Great for them, but it doesn't carry over into the Action shooting sports...
No, you waited until you had 4 hours experience before posting your complaints on a public forum.
You said it was your first action pistol match.
Doesn't sound like it is.
If you think that 4 hours spent at a match is enough "experience" to determine what a better way to...
